Avast Free is changing my screen resolution

Hello,

I’m trying to install Avast Free like always, with the web installer. During the installation, my screen resolution is automatically changed to 640x480. After restarting the computer, the problem persists. If I manually change the resolution to any other value, this value is stored at least 10 minutes, but after this time the screen resolution changes again back to 640x480.

The problem disappears if I remove Avast.

Anybody have the same problem? Any solutions to try?

  • Which version of Avast Free…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?
