Avast Free No Application Update Since December

Good day,

I’ve been used to Avast updating the core application once every month for several years now, but my application version is still on “Release date was December 9, 2020 3:25 AM”, and the next line still reads “(ver. 20.10.2442 - build 20.10.5824.626)”. Thinking there might be something wrong with the installation, I followed the steps on Avast’s main google search to go to Windows 10 apps and select Uninstall, and then Repair App, which I did. The repair completed very quickly, and then I rebooted my computer. Upon opening the settings menu within the Avast UI again, I manually clicked Check For Updates under the application version section, and it still reports the December version.
Is there something wrong with my installation, or has Avast not released an update for Avast Free since early December? I just wanted to make sure to put my mind at ease.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Well once upon a time it was more like 2 or 3 minor program updates per year, not 1 a month.

So this isn’t strange, there are roughly 10 program updates per year and if you check the Beta testing section of the forum https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=15.0 you will see there is a beta testing session in progress, with the latest update only yesterday, 21.1.2445 (build 21.1.5931).

You have a later build version than I have, mine is 20.10.2442 (build 20.10.5824.624), as my program updates are set to Manual. Am I concerned, no. As and when I see a new Program Update in the forums I will update in due course.
