Since this morning I am getting an urgent message that Avast is turned off. I can not turn it on, I can not uninstall and I can not install Avast.
"C:\Program Files\AVAST software\Avast\setup: Setup cannot continue

Another message: File System Shield Provider not Found.

Can anybody help me?

only way out is to uninstall in safe mode using aswclear http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
… when you’re back in Windows, prior to re-installing, don’t forget to delete the Avast folder in program data.
