I’m running Avast Free Antivirus 19.6.2383 (build 19.6.4546.494) on my Win10 laptop. When I try to do a full virus scan I immediately get the message “Great! No issues found.” There is no indication that its scanning as in the past. This began about April of this year (2019). Is this new?
Have you tried the Scan History to get an idea of what it scanned ?
I have seen other threads with full scan closing before it should and returning nothing found message. Indication of something wrong in the program. Have you tried to do a Repair of Avast?

Quick work around is to run the full scan and when it fails click on the “done” button and then re run the scan and it should work.
