Avast Free Version causes Win 10 not to boot up 50% of the time

I bought a new PC with Win 10 a few months ago and have been having issues with it only on boot up. Every other time I boot up the screen stays black, I power down power back up and its fine. Same thing next time but than the second time again boots up to a black screen. I disabled Avast from starting up on its own and have now not had an issue for weeks. I just have to remember to start Avast after my PC boots up which I would rather not have to do as I do forget on occasion.

One, has anyone else had this issue and is there a solution besides the one I am using ?

Second, if the fix is not available with Avast, is there a way to have Avast automatically load but only after its booted past the login which it does automatically ?

Have you tried setting it so that avast loads after other services have loaded?
Settings>Troubleshooting> check “Load avast services only after system services”

Was there a trial anti virus installed on the PC when you bought it and has it been removed?
