Installed the latest flashplayer 2(?) days ago without a problem.
Looks like a FP in the latest definiations.

Just downloaded the latest Flash player and had no problems.

VPS 20140708-0 still has the problem.
The problem is not with the full installers but with the installers through the website.

It’s not allowing me to install the latest Flash Player version either; should I just try again later today or wait for an Avast! Update?

Either wait or use the full installer.

Thanks, Asyn.
So it’s definitely a false positive?

One more question. If I download the full IE & plug-in versions, do I opt for the exe installers or the msi? (I’m not familiar with this flash player update route.)

For a single system use the .exe installer.

They just solved it. Download the latest definitions of viruses and the problem will be fixed.

Please note that Adobe has release a security update yesterday.
The latest version is 14.0.0.145.
avast’s software updater is not showing that there is a newer version.
At least not on my system.

Usually, it takes a few days to show up.
