I’m trying to install Avast Internet Security Trial…and it freezes comp.
I reinstalled my comp yesterday due to booting problems…downloaded latest drivers and xp sp3
OS:Windows XP Media center edition 2005 SP3
why is it freezing my comp?
Before it didn’t… ???

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
If avast free, what version and number ?
What is the AIS version number, 5.1.889 is the latest build number ?
When is it freezing and what were you doing ?
1.No, i said I reinstalled my PC…so everything is deleted
2.latest, got from site
3.all i was doing is downloading avast
if freezes at point the green download thing is at end.
note:probably cuz I need to download something, but don’t know what
Was it formatted and reinstalled from the XP disk, or from a recovery partition on the OEM computer? What sort of computer is it?
It’s from a XP OEM disc.

idk wat happened…
just downladed IE with the updates with it
and some printer drivers, and windows updates…
and it dosen’t freeze
