Avast freezes when updating program...

I went to go run Avast and decided to update the iAVS and Program. I was able to update iAVS with no problems at least not that I saw. I went to update Program and it freezes part way through once when it was calling out to the download server and another time when it was copying the files. Though I am pretty sure I’m not infected as I keep up on my malware scans I ran Spyware Terminator with all the trimmings and I am currently waiting for it to finish so far it found nothing of interest. I also plan to do a Avast boot time scan anyway while I sleep tonight I was gonna do it anyway and was trying to update before then. I will try to update the thing in safe mode. Other then that OS itself loads and runs fine.

I was wondering has this problem been reported before maybe a problem with the latest updates. On a more interesting note during a on going investigation I found a entry that goes back to the time of the system freeze during Avast updating (about 40 minutes ago) and I found it in the Event Logs’s Security logs four entries all pointing to a code integrity, invalid image hash for AswSP.sys in the system32/driver folder. They all date back to the time I attempted to update Avast. And I right click the icon in the system tray in order to update the files which when you do it that way I believe runs via AswSP.sys doesn’t it?

EDIT: I have Windows Vista and Spyware Terminator, and Outpost Firewall running in memory with Avast. Those are the other protection software that is currently running with Avast (that is by no means the only protection software I have.)

UPDATE: Spyware Terminator just finished a full anti virus and anti spyware combo scan and found no threats. Also I just booted up into Safe Mode and I was able to update Avast itself with no problems whatsoever. I believe it is a conflict between a service or application and Avast’s updating service… And I think I know what application it is. I will look at Spyware Terminator and try updating Avast with it off. But please give me the night I need to recollect my bravery. I will proceed with my Avast boot time scan anyway just to be on the safe side though I am convinced it’s a conflict between Avast and Spyware Terminator why it only showed up now. I have no idea.

Please, post the last 300-350 lines of avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Setup.log
I bet on a temporary glitch or problem into the servers.
There is a minor probability of a glitch into Outpost. Can you delete avast.setup from Outpost programs settings and update again (allowing avast.setup to connect)?

Sure, heres the setup log and I’m gonna re-enable in outpost now.

EDIT: Ok, I just re-enabled it in Outpost and Avast updates fine. Seems a little faster, though that may just be stressed making me think so. LOL.

The log seems ok.
Isn’t it an Outpost glitch? ???
