avast! gui in start up

I have 3 PCs at home. The OS are windows xp home, windows vista home premium and windows 7 home premium.
Every start-up of my windows vista, my avast gui always pop-up telling me that some of my real-time shields is off. In my windows xp and windows 7, no gui pop-up instead the orange ball has the triangle with exclamation mark.

Is it normal that the gui always pop-up? Because it is annoying. I tried both avast! free antivirus and avast! internet security and they had the same result.

To windows vista users I need your help, any words? Thanks in advance.

Which realtime shields are off? Are they going to start within 1-2 minutes automatically or remain turned off?

Hi PK, mail shield and web shield. They turned on in less than 30 seconds. I am curious because it only happen in my PC with vista OS.

This should be alread fixed - definitely fixed in mail shield, i’m not sure about web shield… Please wait for the next program update scheduled for today/tomorrow.

The problem was, mail+web shields don’t start if your PC haven’t got IP address yet (e.g. you’re using WiFi at home and it takes some time…).
Please let us know if next program update will fix this, thanks.
