Avast hijacks startpage!

Really Avast, this again?

Open up Firefox, after Avast has been updated to Avast Bloatware 2017.
Avast popups that I have to addons with bad reputation. One of the addons are directly from Mozilla and the other is a Google Image Search, which is not harmful. Great job Avast, top class AV solution. Clicks skip and then my Firefox is rebooted even though I clicked skip. It opens up on a search.avast.com site and my startpage in Firefox has been changed to search.avast.com

Are you kidding me? I am paying for Avast, so why are Avast hijacking my startpages?

bad reputation doesn’t mean they are harmful as has has been explained in other threads already.

Aarrgh it has also reset my search provider in Firefox.

God damnit Avast, this is borderline Malware.

Which is why I clicked skip, but this awesome software still decided top wreck my browser settings.

Also, “Show popup offers for other Avast products” has been turned on after update to the latest version.

You wouldn’t expect it should be hard for them to check if it was turned off before, but we all know they do this on purpose, because we all love an antivirus solution which tries to force adds on paying customers.

Nah.

I’ve made a support ticket.

Should work as well.
