I am having some trouble with Avast Home.
I am using Windows 7 RC.
Itunes will not connect with my IPhone while Avast Home is installed.
At first I did think it was a problem with Itunes itself, but after uninstalling Avast, Itunes linked up with my Iphone without issue.
Stopping the On Access protection does not help. Only uninstalling Avast Home will the problem go away.
I am also having this problem with my XP install. Stopping the On Access protection in XP, Itunes will link up with the Iphone.
I am using Avast Home version 4.8 build 4.8.1351
Itunes version 8.2.1.6
Iphone 3G firmware 3.0.1
Windows RC 7100 64 bit
XP Pro Service Pack 3
Funny part is in both Operating systems Explorer can read the pictures stored on the IPhone without issue.
I have 5.0.594 version running on Windows 7 (64 bit version).
I too have the problem where when avast is running (scanning in the background).
Here is the steps I do to re-produce the problem:
While AVAST IS running
Open ITunes
Connect my iphone to my USB cable on the computer
PROBLEM: Itunes STOPS responding, and doesn’t allow me to click on anything until I REMOVE the iphone from the USB cable, or if I DISABLE AVAST from running…
So, there must be an issue between AVAST and one of ITUNES/IPHONES services that are running in the background. BECAUSE, immediately after I disconnect the iphone, itunes works perfectly; HOWEVER, when I re-connect the iphone to my computer, I can’t click on anything within ITUNES…
