Avast Icon when navigating inprivate

Hi guys!

Could somebody help me? I downloaded the Avast Internet Security program. I am using Internet Explorer and I can see the “a” icon of Avast turning green when surfing on the Internet.
However, I used to navigate in private (through IE (navigation “inprivate”) and not through the Avast additional option).
When I open a new inprivate window, the “a” icon is not showing up anymore.

Does that mean I am not protected by Avast when surfing in private?
Does anybody know how to make this “a” showing up and make sure I will be protected?

Hi Julie,

  1. Not at all, you’re protected by the web shield.
  2. AOS is an add-on and can’t run in private mode.
