when the traduction of avast in french?

the French version is in progress. ALWIL team says its coming soon!
This is not simple to answer…
Should not but some avast! users (like Minacross) relate that without IE you will have troubles with avast!. I mean, the Windows environment is necessary for avast! to run and IE is not simple to get rid off… it is ‘inside’ of the shell (OS).
What is your Operational System (OS)?
do yopu have an estimation when avast products in french? an esimation!
for my os i have xp pro windows et i erase internet explorer with the programme xp lite pro! and with no internet explorer on my computer avast no update
I don’t know. many people have offered to help translate.
Zorro, take it easy… Translation is a very hard work. It took me 150 hours to translate avast! into Portuguese… The avast! team and the users try to do the best and fast work as posible…
About the need of IE by avast!, it is not so easy… I thought there are some Windows and IE integration involved… Am I right Vlk?

More than 90% of the user interface is already translated - so hopefully it will be finished soon.
I guess we will prepare a test version when the translation is ready.

although I’m keeping the English version…
I stand behind French being a beautiful language, but not when it comes to IT. It just confuses me then.
Avast turns out to be a very nice program, with lots of features.

Just a word from the translators… Joseph, you can have both English and French versions in the same computer if you are connected to the Internet. Just go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, avast! Antivirus, Change the configuration and check the new language packs 8)
