Avast in hardened mode is stopping many .exe and .sys like crazy

I think I need some help from you guys. My avast is stopping many .exe and .sys since a few days ago, everyday at the same time. Ever since all this started, my computer is slower, gives me some other errors, etc. My avast is always in hardened mode, and it has never done this before.
I looked for some of the names of the .exe online and for some websites they seem to be trojans/malware, but for others, those files are just windows components. After scanning with avast nothing came up. The scans are clean with MBAM too, only ESET found something that was quarantined already.
What should I do? I feel like the computer is about to stop working. It is hardly responding to any command…

Trial/Free doesn’t matter. She make sure it doens’t start with Protection-XXXXXX, as it’s useless to us.

Honestly, I don’t know what it is. I didn’t set up the computer… I checked and Firefox has the FoxyProxy add-on installed but it is disabled. What should I do now?

The computer wasn’t opening anything, and I could only see the desktop background, no icons nor taskbar. I had to reset it several times in order to see something. Then FRST.exe wasn’t responding, but I finally made it! :slight_smile:

It jumps on system files at an specific hour everyday. I’ll need to wait to let you know if it is still happening. For the other things, it is not very responsive, slower than usual.

I think I need further instructions. I did everything, but then I realized that I forgot to disable the trial of MBAM. What can I do now? :confused:

Chrome only. PC can’t handle having more than one or sometimes two programs running at the same time now, but when it happens I only have Chrome running.

  2. Then I need you to go Google Sync and sign into your account
  3. Scroll down until you see the “Stop and Clear” button and click on the button. At the prompt click on “Ok”
  4. Now we need to uninstall chrome via control panel.
    Note: When asked about user data or settings you must remove this also so please check the box.
  5. Restart the computer and reinstall chrome, You can download The latest version from here - Google Chrome
  6. Import your bookmarks back into Chrome
  7. Sign back in to your Chrome browser so that your bookmarks sync with your online account.

I posted an update yesterday, but it was removed along with another user’s post at the bottom of the thread. Why?
The computer was non responsive. I had to reset it, and then I continued receiving the pop ups at the same hour. I followed the instructions about uninstalling Chrome. Now, the installation is failing. It says Failed to cache the downloaded installer. Error: 0x80070020.
