Avast inadvertently deleting a file?

I was updating a video game of mine and Avast suddenly popped out and warned me that it was infected with “IDP.Generic”. After confirming that it was a false positive, I dismissed the message and my PC froze. After letting it sit for a while, Avast asked me to restart my PC and so I did.

The next thing I know is the entire file of my video game suddenly disappearing. I couldn’t find it anywhere, even in the quarantine section of Avast. There are no logs of any scans, possibly because it updated to the newest version. Any ideas on what could’ve happened, and whether my game got deleted or just moved into a section that is inaccessible to the launcher?

Hello friend was wondering if the game u mean is genshin since i have had all morning today alot of issues with it only to realise that avast was giving me a hard time.So what is going on in my case seem it was deleting something, the only thing atm as a band aid i had to exclude the whole genshin folder and hoyolauncher folder as well to get it working. After that open the launcher and its gona ask to download whole game do no do that just search for the game in the launcher setting its going to say restore download and thats it in my case.To do the exclusion click avast icon menu on top click setting and there is the excepions just find games folder.
