Avast Installation

Hello :slight_smile:

I unfortunately uninstalled Avast by emptying the trash. Now I’m trying to install it again but I always get the message that it is already installed. I’ve searched for all avast files on my laptop (Mac 11.2.3) and deleted them and still get the message that it’s installed. Can somebody help me please?

Hello,

please open Terminal.app and run following commands:

sudo rm -rf “/Library/Application Support/Avast”
sudo rm -rf “/Applications/Avast.app”

after this you should be able to install Avast again. If it still does not work try to reboot your Mac.
