AVAST Internet Security - Blocking Router access?

I have AVAST Internet Security installed and licensed, and I’m finding that the only way to access my router admin pages through any of my browsers is by disabling the shields for 10 minutes etc.

Why?

See if disabling the port scanning in the firewall is solving it.
It is a known problem as you can read in other threads.
