I am having issues with Avast.
Several times my PC crashed and Avast services were disabled.
I scanned my PC with Malwarebytes but no issues were discovered.
In uninstaled Avast with the avastclear utility.
When trying to install it again the PC crashed again near the end of the installation with a BAD POOL CALLER error.
Is there an issue with the latest version of Avast ?
Is it possible to install an earlier version ?
I am using Windows 10 Pro. Lenovo Ideapad Y700 - 64 bit.
I had Avast Internet Security installed and a couple weeks ago I started having these unexpected crashes.
At some point it systematically crashed whenever I logged into the PC and only after disabling Avast after booting in Safe Mode was I able to login.
After that I could not activate the Avast services anymore so I had to clean the installation.
I tried reinstalling the free version and also version of internet security 17-5-3559_fr_380314 but both have the same problem.
I cannot reach the end of installation without getting the error of Bad Pool Caller.
I had no other antivirus before Avast. It was working normally on that PC for more than one year now.
For the moment I have installed Malewarebytes as Avast is unusable.
