Whenever I boot/reboot my computer, my Avast Internet Security program remains deactivated. When I open the program, it says “You Are Unprotected”. I then manually have to click “Resolve All” to turn Avast on. I’ve looked at the settings and I can’t seem to figure out why it can’t initialize and run automatically on startup. Any ideas? I have 2015.10.0.2208 running on Windows 7. Thanks.

Yes, I recently upgraded to Internet Security in November; I had been using Avast Free Antivirus prior to that.
OS - 64 bit
Previous - Avast Free
I did not clear anything off; I simply upgraded to Internet Security directly from the Free Antivirus program
All Windows updates, drivers, programs are up to date
Full scans don’t turn up anything, but I will run additional full system and boot-time scans tonight to be sure
To my knowledge, I don’t have any infections (which of course doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t something hiding out in there)
2 remedies:
1 Repair of Avast (try this first) Control Panel > Programs and Features > Select Avast> Select Repair
When the repair finishes, Reboot your system - If this doesn’t work then go on to the next step.
2 Clean install of Avast - see my signature for directions on Successfully installing Avast.
Thanks much. The repair seems to have done the trick. Appreciate the help.
Glad I was able to help.
