avast Internet Security v5-545 blocks SMTP

HI All, the story in short.
I have used Avast AV 4.8 for the last 2 years with Zone Alarm , all ok.
As my license is going to be renewed I installed the AIS v5.545 and purchased the new license.
Have unistalled ZoneAlarm.

All seemed to work well till when I tried to send some emails … uhhhhhhhh SMTP is blocked !

After many checks I begun to disable all the possible switches in AIS v5.
Baytheway there is no a “general” ON-OFF switch in AIS v5 to make test ?!
NOTHING happens, the SMTP still is blocked.

Of course I have switched the SSL in my Thunderbird too, but nothing.

The only way to “roll-back” is to reinstall my previous image by True_Image.
I have spent a whole day to make the tests, but no luck.

At the moment I am using a free concurrent AV which gives no problems to my SMTP.

Last… I have tried the AIS v5 on 2 pcs both with XP_pro and AAVv 4.8+ZAP, with the same
negative results.

Do you have any more idea\suggestion ?
Ciao.

HI Pondus, am trying to look at the link but even if logged-in the server gives :
ERROR: You are not allowed to view this article or the article does not exist.

Anyway the incoming emails were all OK only the SMTP did not work, even if I disabled all the
Antivirus and Firewall switches.

One more problem: I had also problems on logging into my yahoo account in that I was requested to
rewrite the password on every click in my email-page… very strange.

Ciao

The link works fine here, logged in or not

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
