avast Intrnet Security, can't log on to my account

Hi.

Since tuesday i’m unable to have avast running. The program says that i’m not secured cause i’m not connected to any avast account. When I try to log in, it looks like the check of my log in stuff is right but it never works because the Avast service is stopped, then i open the adminstrator mode and the avast service (not the avast firewall service) is indeed stopped, but if i try to start it again then i get and “unable to start, acccess denied” message.

¿what can i do?

Have you tried running a repair of avast and rebooting ?

As for the avast account not being connected ! Do you have an avast account ? its not a security feature as does not inhibit the functionality of avast, it’s purely to monitor your security statis online if needed.

Yes, i have an avast account. Maybe the program is not working because the stopped service issue and the log in stuff doesn’t have anything to do with my problem.

I tried to repair but i receive this mssage “Error proccesing packages, please use full update”

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

I tried to repair but i receive this message “Error proccesing packages, please use full update” Then if i try to update i get another error. And i cant kill the avast service rom the task admin :frowning:

me think this need a new install

run this from safe mode and reboot - Uninstall Utility http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
then you install avast again

I’ve noticed that a bunch of other services are in the same situation than the avast service, so it looks like it’s not an avast related problem, seems to be something about my OS. It’s kinda weird ¿maybe it’s a malware? ¿any idea? I don’t know where to ask about.

if you want a malware check…then we need you to attach logs from malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR
