I can see how the “Enabled Avast Email signature” might possibly conflict/interfere with webmail as it has to have control of the email to insert the email signature.
That said, this is the first time I have seen it in the forums. I’m not sure what the current settings policy is with the Enabled Avast Email signature option, but I though it had backed down from being checked by default to unchecked.
The insertion of email signatures was previously only available for email clients (thunderbird, etc) and not web mail.
That was function introduced and released a reasonable time ago, but I can’t recall exactly what avast version it was. When it was first introduced there were a number of complaints about the email signature setting being on by default and I thought at one point it was off by default.
I’ve had it disabled for some considerable time, which is why I don’t recall when it changed.
I just did a test one email with the signature ON and the other with the signature OFF.
For me there was no signature either way. I however ave a signature for my emails so that may be the
reason the Avast signature isn’t shown.
Seems the early problem of error #007 has resurfaced in Avast 17.2.3419 Build 17.2.3.419 (0) and unticking “Enable Avast email signature” box in Settings/General fixes the problem. However it should not be up to users to find work arounds Fix this permanently AVAST!!
