I have installed avast and spark on multiple Macs, iPhones and iPads.
My new M1 is the only one having issues. I installed spark on another m1, identical to this one, and it works perfectly.
I have uninstalled avast, rebooted and reinstalled avast. Sadly that has not solved the problem.
I have tried uninstalling both, shutting down, restarting and installing spark first then avast, and the reverse of avast first then spark. Neither option makes any difference.
The only way I can send & receive emails through spark on this Mac is to turn off the email shield for avast or of course uninstall it. All updates and app versions on the Mac are current. The built in Mac firewall is on. However turning it off does not make a difference nor does adding spark to “allow incoming connections"
I am afraid I am out of ideas.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Notes & Updates: Avast does not block MacMail nor does it block Thunderbird mail.
