I have AVIRA for about a year and works fine now when I downloaded AVAST , every day keeps on poping out with a trojan horse that is in the AVAST/ temp/
I qurentine them but still comes back, I do not have a choice or do I? I want to remove this software I thought it was safe
but can any body explain me why ?
I tried to unistall it as any other software and I was not able, what is the meaning of this??? why this program wants to be stuck with you since you wheather you wanted or not??? I then realice, that that is the catch. if removed it I will not get any trojans IS THIS LOGICAL?? I guess will be ok for AVAST
I would like an explanation
I will list some of the them since I downloaded this software, I do not like this
here is the list
they are all in the temp directories of AVAST
1 this area ---- C:\WINDOWS\Temp_avast4_\unp1836301.tmp
2 this area---- 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp_avast4_\unp83630191.tmp.
[font=Verdana]I found this almost every day since I downloaded AVAST

Do not use two antivirus program simultanously - you will get conflict like these (if you are lucky; if you’re not, much worse).
Obviously, Avira is interfering with avast! engine here (in particular, with its unpackers) - causing false alarms for you, and most likely preventing avast! from detecting the malware.
Avira has the best detection among free antiviruses, as seen in several magazines.
I wanted to try AVAST seems had more stuff but now I do not know what to think
This malware is a trojan that AVAST will not detect how convinient! who else will detect this malicious trojan? If I remove Avira, I will not get this malware , so If I do not remove avast you tell me I should ignore this trojan, that according to “you” it is false?
Igor is saying that Avira is detecting unp83630191.tmp (which is an avast temporary file) as being infected.
In fact, avast has to process the file to detect the virus.
Two antivirus at the same time will conflict.
If you want Avira, uninstall avast.
I am saying that you have a conflict of two antiviruses - which may result in computer crash, malware getting undetected even if both of the antiviruses would detect it alone, etc. So, you really shouldn’t be surprised that strange things are happening on your system.
avast! is unpacking a packed file (archive or executable) into a temporary file - to scan it for viruses. However, Avira resident protection intercepts the file operation, and most likely blocks avast! from accessing its own file. I don’t know if avast! alone detects this particular file - but in this situation, it obviously can’t.
Also, I don’t know if this particular file is a false alarm or not; according to the malware name reported by avira, they’re detecting just some packer, so it certainly can be.
