Alright, well I shall wait patiently for a response, but I revisited that link you posted earlier and I found a place to download for existing users after navigating the page a bit more. That one is probably more up-to-date than the one I already have. Maybe this one will accept the license file. I will let you know what happens.
Alright, that worked. The setup program I had on the computer was out-dated. The one I downloaded thanks to your link accepted my license file. I will make sure to bookmark it for the future.
I am still worried, though; I don’t understand what went so horribly wrong with a simple system restore to cause this problem in the first place. My best guess is something got corrupted, maybe?
Windows XP x64 basically is Windows 2003 (the binaries are the same), so the detection is “correct”.
