Avast issues with Ironkey

I use Ironkey USB keydrives. These are hardware encrypted and have a CD-ROM partition and an unlockable secure partition.

Since upgrading to Avast! 5.1.889, Every time I insert my Ironkey, or access it in any way, locked or unlocked, my floppy drive is accessed as well. This occurs on more than one machine including a laptop. All are running up to date XP Pro SP3.

Is it possible to find the prior version for a roll back? This is the first real issue I have had with Avast! after leaving AVG over numerous problems. Any suggestions would be welcome.

PS: There are others on the Ironkey forums that have seen other access issues as well since upgrading to 5.1.889.

There was a similar topic on the forums. I am not able to find it right now. Hopefully someone will guide you there. You can get the prior version here.

This bug was already fixed, but you need to wait for next program update - the bug is caused by bahavior shield (disabling should help).

will this update become available before v6 ?

as 5.1 (even as beta it would be fine)

the only program update will be available only for 6.0 (you can try beta version, this bug is already fixed there: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=70435.0)

5.1 is closed now (5.1.889 was the last build, next build was: 6.0.590, etc…)

ok i get it but i will wait i don’t want to do full reinstall nor risk with first iteration :slight_smile:
