Avast + Java + MySQL

Hello, in Windows 8.

I have a java program that performs some calculations reading and writing data to a local MySQL database (127.0.0.1).

Since I installed Avast Internet Security Pro. The time required to execute this program has multiplied by a factor of ten or more (I never waited for it to finish).

It only comes back to its usual duration when I disable the Firewall Active Protection. Is there a way to change the configuration so this calculation takes less time?

avast! Internet Security
Version 2014.9.0.2006
Virus DB: 131110-2
No. Definitions: 2.604.909

Windows 8 64 bits

I had McAfee Antivirus preinstalled when I bought the laptop. But removed it completely before installeng avast.

I have no other installed security software.
