I’ve got a qquestion: Do avast 4.8 home edition standart & web shield is capable to scan the JavaScript files.

It scans all files that are in http port 80 traffic stream and that would include .js files, you need only check the virus database to see there are a number of javascript signatures. Search on JS: (which I think indicates javascript ???) and you will see 549 hits.
