I used avast today, it ran for over 4 hours and would not stop… it seemed to be scanning the content resource file over and over
any ideas?
That’s pretty strange. Do you have disabled option “Scan whole files” in Avast Settings, tab “On-Demand Scans”? The file that is displayed is a last file, for which the scan has been completed, not the currently scanned file (for the technical limitations we have). I would expect that there has been scanned some huge file. Could you please try to scan separately the file you expect to be the problematic one and check its size?
