Avast keeps sandboxing Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate 8.10

Every time that I use “Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate 8.10”, I have to re-install it. I think Avast Premier is sandboxing it, or whatever. How can I tell Avast to leave it alone ?

I don’t use the Premier version, but seeing some of the previous sandbox related topics, first I would suggest that you open the sandbox and reset it.

I believe you can right click on the executable file used to start Wondershare (using windows explorer), there should be an option to run in the sandbox always or never, select never.

Maybe I didn’t ask the right question.

What happens is that Wondershare Video Converter keeps disappearing (the executable cannot be found). I assumed that Avast was deleting it, or hiding it. I’ve reinstalled it maybe 15 times. I can use it for a couple of sessions, and then it’s gone again.

I just re-installed it again, found the executable, right-clicked on it. I turned On “Always run in Sandbox” and then turned it Off again. I ran an Avast scan on it, and Avast had no problems.

Dunno… I’ll report back again if it disappears again.

Strange, fingers crossed it is one of those computer hiccups sent to try us.

Yes, indeed…

Every time I start to be impressed with my computer knowledge, I get tested by Computer Fate.

Avast was not deleting the executable. Something changed my Taskbar link to point somewhere else for that executable. It’s now working, many times…

Thanks for keeping us updated.
