In the log files under C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\log
, 3 files have been observed: 7GB .dmp, 1.5GB .mdmp, and 430MB .mdmp.
- How can we prevent this? If our empty space is less than 20GB, how can Avast suddenly take 10GB? It’s a massive concern.
- When does Avast clean this up?
- Can avast periodically clean up these files, and is there any manual setting to clean them immediately?
- If our HDD is full, is there any way to make sure Avast can’t brick our system by creating enormous files and leaving 0B of free space?
- Is this a security issue if our memory contents are leaking on an insecure path?
