Avast lost on system restore

I just did a system restore, and when it finished, my Avast (paid ver) doesn’t want to load. All of the program, and icons are in the task bar, and the program comes up, but will not run . please help, I’m on the net w/no virus protection. Thanx.

Repair avast:

1. Control Panel - Add/Remove programs - avast!
2. Scroll down and click on ‘Repair’.
3. Follow instructions.

System restore can have unforeseen consequences and this is one that has been seen to happen before in the forums.

Hopefully the Repair suggested should resolve it.
