Avast managed on win Wista x64

Hello!
I have a problem with the installation of the client on windows vista x64 :
I have created the client.msi package with ADNM deployment task, and it’s running perfectly in all other machines.
yesterday I installed the client.msi on vista x64, without any problem but after reboot the program the program did’t update and sent me this error: “Other Error HTTP(403) … 75.125.223.194:80//iavs4x/servers.def”
why the program try to update on internet and not by the mirror on the server?

this morning I have update all(adnm, mirror and client) but the problem there is again.

there is someone that can help me?

Marco

Did you try update via installation task? If yes, and result was the same, try uninstall AVAST and in case of problem with uninstallation, try aswcleaner to uninstall Avast. Then deploy instalatin task again.
See setup.log before you will do above steps. Maybe there you will see a reason of your problem.

hello! where I can find “aswcleaner” ?

this is “setup.log” file:

ok! aswclean found . I am trying to uninstall the program and then install by deploy task.
bye Marco

hello !
the deployment task direct to the remote machine is failed (error 0x00000005).
I have tryed to turn off the windows firewall but there isn’t any change.

is there the possibility, after the installation of “client.msi” (created with deployment task), to change the type of update from internet to AMS mirror ?

second question: When I have tryed to uninstall the avast menaged through the control pannel of windows(before using aswclean) avast ask me the password, where I can find this password ?

bye Marco

Error 5 means access denied (not enough access rights, whatever this means in this scenario).

hello!

ok error 5 resolved, I have installed avast directly the adnm without creating msi package.
the result is the same.

on the local machine when I click on “Impostazioni” the program ask me a password, where I can find it or where I can set it ?

someone have another suggestion ?

thanks Marco

5 minutes ago I tried to update VPS by ADNM Console, it was failed with this error : 0x2000006, does it mean?

if it is helpful this is the PC configuration:

motherboard : P6T WS Pro (with 2 RJ45 lan connection)
cpu : intel i7 920
Ram : OCZ DDR3 1866MHz 2x3GB
HD : Raid 10 with 4 WD sata2 250GB HD
S.O. : Vista Ultimate x64
other application: Solidworks 2009, office2003 and asus motherboard utility.

Bye Marco

Isn’t it set at properties of computer catalog? I have localized (czech) version, sorry for imprecise translation, but see items like Policies, service, allow password …

ok, after a new installation I can modify the properties of avast managed client, but there insn’t any property that changes the tipe of connection.
Idon’t know what I should make…can someone help me ?

bye Marco

hello!
I have resolved the problem!

it was in the page update of the policy, in the properties of Computer Group. The text “if the mirror is unreacheble update from the internet” was chacked.
if the avast managed try to update trought internet then the mirror is unreacheble.
why is the mirror unreacheble ?
can the low limit of Windows sbs 2003’s CAL license(5 in this case) block the connection between the client and the mirror?

Bye
Marco
