Avast Mobile, blocking SIM cards

I raised a ticket, #NEZ-468-72030, on 28 November and am anxiously awaiting a response. I urgently need advice on whether a SIM card that has been locked/blocked by Avast Mobile will also lock/block any other phone that the card is then subsequently inserted into. The reason for this question is as follows.
Installed Avast ant virus onto new computer and then clicked on Mobile Protection to downloaded Mobile Security & Antivirus from my Avast account. I accepted all the default settings and didn’t make any changes. After a day or two I realised that I was not receiving calls etc due to unavailability of a network. I contacted my network provider who confirmed that there was no problem with the network but since my phone was displaying ‘No Sim inserted’ it was likely that my Sim was defective and they supplied me with a replacement. The new Sim also displayed the same message. I tried this Sim and my original Sim in my wifes phone and it showed the same error. I obtained another Sim and put it into my wifes phone first and once again her phone displayed the same error. In all I have tried 4 other known good Sims and have managed to block/lock three different phones.
My mobile is not recognised by my Avast account and my wifes phone was listed as my first friends phone, so I now have no control of the Avast mobile what so ever. The phones are not rooted and were unblocked from Vodafone about 18 months ago. I can still access the Avast mobile app using my password and all other functions on the phone. However, there is nothing in the app to enable me to reverse the the blocked Sims or phones.

So the questions are, is it possible that the first Sim could have some how become blocked without any intervention from me, is it possible that the affected Sims can affect other phones and lastly, and most importantly, how the hell do I get out of this mess.

As an out of work 62 year old I can ill afford to simply buy another two mobiles, so if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful.
Fingers crossed.

Hi,

it must be some different issue since we don’t block SIM cards at all (we block phones if a different SIM card is inserted, but not the SIM cards themselves).

Filip

OK, thanks, that has answered one of the questions.
Now how do I go about lifting the block on the phone if I can’t access it through my Avast account or via my first friends phone?

So the phone is locked, right? Asking you for a PIN? You know the PIN, correct?

Filip

Yes, I am asked for the pin to the mobile security app but once I am in there I can’t find an option to carry out an unlock.

If you are inside Mobile Security, what do you want to unlock? If your device is locked by Anti-Theft, you can’t access anything on the phone until you enter the PIN.

Filip

OK, now I am more confused than ever.
I will contact my mobile network provider again and see if they can explain why my phones are displaying ‘No SIM insered’ despite the fact that they are new SIMs.
Thank you

Yeah, that would be the best because we are not doing ANYTHING with the SIMs themselves and I mean it, on Android you actually can’t do anything with them even if you’d want to as far as I know.
