Here’s a comparison between popular Security Solutions for android:

However, unlike other security solutions (AFAIK), with Avast, the anti-theft software is completely separate and therefore this not comparison entirely accurate, here the details of avast! Anti-Theft battery consumption:
avast! Anti-Theft | Battery usage: 1.72% | Reports count: 60
If we join the battery usage percentages of avast! Mobile Security (0.73%) and avast! Anti-Theft (1.72%), Avast will be number 7 in the list (2.45%)

Some other Security Solutions was ignored for very low Reports count:
Zoner AntiVirus Free from ZONER, INC. | Battery usage: 0.14% | Reports count: 7 | Google Play

thanks for the comparison :slight_smile:

Looking at Anti-Theft - it seems that the high consumption reports come from Anti-Theft with activated tracking (usually GPS running for approximatelly one hour and so on). If a user activates continuous location tracking then the sensors will consume some battery, not much we can do about it.

Okay, I see it now, glad to see that normally the percentage are much lower. Probably when additional reports will be sent the data will be more accurate.

if you add the antithift to the av it sums up to more than 8mb. really huge !
