Avast NDIS Filter Missing After Re-Installation

I apologise if anyones confused from this post and the one I just put up. To be clear; I have had to Uninstall Avast (also used the aswclear.exe app in SafeMode). After rebooting, I discovered that the Avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport (driver) was not removed (see thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=132704.0 ). I had to uninstall to try and fix an issue installation of SecureLine caused after it installed it’s driver, as I couldn’t update Windows or use the feature in the Add/Remove Programs Avast installer to change settings to just uninstall SecureLine.

Now, since I love Avast and am a stickler for doing ANYTHING without virus and Firewall protection on the internet, I wanted to re-install Avast IS. I chose ‘CUSTOM’ and left out Avast! SecureLine. Now I don’t even have the Avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport. This is AFTER re-installing Avast.

So I uninstalled Avast and used the Avast cleaner and it left this driver. then I re-install avast and now its not installed…? ???

Okay, so its not in my Device Manager anymore but one of my tools show its got six instances, check the screenshot to get an idea what I’m saying.

Does the Device Manager hide the Avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport if it is working correctly?

If yes, Y do I have six instances running at full power?

If no, then why does my tool show its actually there?
