Avast not in programs and features

Avast is installed and running but does not show in programs and features. Makes it difficult to uninstall, change, repair, etc.

It’s not showing here.

Who here knows where the installation setup log is?

C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Persistent Data\Setup.log

C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Persistent Data\Avast\Logs

C:\ProgramData\AVASTSoftware\Avast\log\

Thanks ParaNoid. I had found that log there before and looked everywhere else but there this time. I can’t find a way to properly uninstall this. I suppose I will need to use the avast uninstall utility. Or, just re-image which would be the safest and easiest.

You do know you can do a system restore in safe mode.
I wouldn’t do it except as a last resort because you can really screw things up bad.
The uninstall utility is safe to use (I’d do this before going to a backup image).
