This pops up every single time I open my computer. How do I stop this notification.

Try disabling automatic network scanning.

  • Protection => Network Inspector => turn off “Automatically re-scan this network”
  • Go to Settings => Protection => Network Inspector => uncheck “Scan new network automatically”

I started out by unchecking the Notify me about New Network Scan progress.

But that didn’t appear to do it, so I had to uncheck the Scan New Networks Automatically. Whilst that action appeared to cull the notifications - because the scan wasn’t scanning new networks automatically.

This I feel leaves vulnerabilities to your system - whilst not showing progress isn’t - I’m guessing here if a New Network were found to be vulnerable then you would get an alert.

This area Avast Needs to look into as prior to avast 25.2.xxxx this wasn’t a problem.

I almost got to the point of culling the Firewall and falling back to the Windows Firewall.
