Avast notifies that it has found malware and requests to quarantine ATT00002…htm in Outlook for Mac. I ran two Avast scans and Avast found no problems, but Avast continues to display quarantine request message. Need advice on next steps: how can I determine if the threat is a false positive? Please share instructions on how to resolve. Thanks.
I’m replying to my own inquiry. I have resolved the problem. The notification was real but it appears the quarantine was effective. As I mentioned, the scans were clean, but I realized that the email with the phishing link was being downloaded repeatedly from my email server. I logged into the mail server and identified and deleted the offending email and the message no longer displays.
