Since I purchased Avast One Platinum (Windows) half a year ago, it has constantly tried to sell me Avast One Platinum.
There is a persistent “Upgrade” link in the upper right corner.
Clicking that link, it incorrectly tells me that my current plan is Avast One Gold.
When I check my plan in my account settings, it correctly says that I have Avast One Platinum.
I have already gone back and forth with Avast Support through chat. I have already gone back and forth with Avast Support through e-mail. This is not user error, nor is it a settings issue. This is something that needs to be escalated to the actual techies doing the actual coding of the actual product, and the only Avast firewall that seems to be 100% effective is the firewall between myself and anyone who can help with this extremely basic issue.
Things I will not be doing again in any further attempt to troubleshoot this bug:
- deleting any cache
- uninstalling/reinstalling Avast One Platinum
- modifying the Windows Registry
- restarting my computer
If Avast One cannot do something as patently simple as detecting what version of Avast One software I have or what level of Avast One subscription I have purchased, I have 0% confidence in Avast One’s ability to detect viruses and malware.
