I setup the host file (at: “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc”) to prevent certain apps from constantly accessing the Internet. Apparently, Avast One cleared out every entry in that file without my permission, nor knowledge. As a result, one of those prohibited apps got access to the Internet. If there is no way to stop Avast One from doing that, I’ll have to switch to a different antivirus app. Anyone know how to prevent it from touching/modifying/clearing the host file?
