Avast One VPN break Google FCM push notifications

Hi,
I’ve noticed that since I installed and started using the Avast One VPN on my Android (OnePlus 12 on Android 15) that push notifications for my apps fail to arrive until I turn the Avast One VPN back on.
For example, my phone is sitting on WiFi, I have no notifications. I open Avast One and turn on the VPN. As soon as the VPN is connected I get a stream of push notifications (Google Messages, WhatsApp, Google Meet, Facebook, whatever else) that all arrive at once. When I disable the VPN in Avast One, I just don’t get those push notifications. I’ll open up an app, like WhatsApp and see that I have two new messages, but never got a notification for them.

There don’t appear to be any advanced settings I can make regarding the VPN in AvastOne, other than selecting where I want the tunnel to be. To me, it seems like after I installed and actived the VPN, AvastOne it somehow it interfering with the Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) service, which is what’s responsible for delivering those push notifications.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to get my push notifications to work even after I turn off the VPN? I tried to install Avast SecureLine VPN, since the interface looked the same as the one inside AvastOne, but my license appears to be only good for AvastOne app and its VPN, not the separate, VPN-only, SecureLine app. Are the two applications using a different VPN code base?

Thanks!
