Avast One VPN says offline, will not connect

Trying to figure out why VPN is not turning on - switch just reverts back to off or says I am offline. I have tried repairing and restarting, as well as all other troubleshooting steps, and nothing has helped.

I bought a Silver Subscription.

Same problem on my 3 computers, win 10 or win 11. And on my Android smartphone two. The VPN is unavailable, offline. When I disconnect from my Avast account and revert to a free version, all is OK. When I connect to my Avast account (Silver subscription), the VPN is unavailable. Very strange ! Any Idea ?

France… But on free version, it’s ok.

And on gold trial subscription, the VPN is avalaible. So the problem IS juste on Silver version.

I’m assuming Avast One, (which I am not familiar with) has at least three flavors of Avast VPN:

  • Free - Avast One Essentials
  • Silver - ???
  • Gold - ???

Avast One is an all-inclusive security suite containing many features within, some not security related.

I’ve searched on avast websites, have not found any references to a Silver or Gold version of their VPN. This is true for Windows, Mac, Android, or IPhone/IPad.

Windows versions noted are:

  • Avast One Essentials (Free)
  • Avast One (Paid)

VPNs listed there are limited to 5 GB data per week for free version and fewer servers than paid, whereas paid Avast One is unlimited and has more servers to choose from.

Could you provide an attached snapshot of your silver version?

I’ve got a Silver subscription for Avast One, with more functions, like unlimited VPN.
But, no vpn avalaible since the beginning of my purchase !
Futhermore, it’s written “15 GB data left” (it’s supposed to be unlimited)

I ask help to the Avast support, but nothing helped (uninstall, reinstall, activation licence from Avast account) !!!

Could someone help me, please ?

I made a request of refund, but Avast support seems to not be inclined to answer quickly !
What is very strange that is on Gold subscription (I tested the trial Premium version), all is OK.
Avast support didn’t find a solution. >:(

Sorry, I’m from the USA, not from France. So, unaware of silver and gold edition Avast VPNs, not offered here.

Tell me what the difference between silver and gold is?
