Formerly the VPN icon was displayed indicating that I had internet access through Avast SecureLine VPN and was connected to my ISP, but lately the Wi-Fi icon is displayed, and the legend indicates that I am connected to Avast secure line but have Internet access through my ISP. Running
‘Diagnose Network Problems’ indicates that I have a problem in the DNS cache. Cleaning out the cache and restarting the computer does not solve the problem. Avast Browser indicates I do have a VPN connection, but this is not the case, because if I set my location as Amsterdam I should get a Dutch language page in MS Edge, but it is English so I know my location is not disguised. Help.
