That didn’t help. I switched the parameter to “false”, but the Avast Online Security addon still isn’t showing up in my addons list. Do I have to reinstall Avast again for it to work?
I don’t have a checkbox for “Avast Online Securtiy”, only for “Browser Protection”. I did as you suggested with that one, but nothing has changed. The AOS is still not showing up in Firefox’s addon list.
to day appart flashplayer which exisy i, 32 and 64 bit version, there is no plugins available for firefox 64 bit
firefox 43 32 bit all plugins ok
firefox 43 64 bits plugin vlc, google earth,skype,h264,adobe reader , and AOS disappears, because all theses plugins are 32 bit only
we mus wait for availability of 64 bits versions of common plugins
So, I completely removed the 64-bit version of Firefox, did a clean uninstall of Avast (using avastclear.exe), reinstalled Avast as well as the 32-bit (!) version of Firefox…
…and guess what? It is still not working!
There seems to be a compatibility issue between Avast 2016 and Firefox 43.
Avast browser extensions prior Avast 2016 SP2 couldn’t be installed into a 64-bit Firefox. 64-bit Firefox support was added with SP2, released the previous week.
