Avast password violation & blocked by Mozilla

Looks like as of today password manager extention has been auto turned off by mozilla stating it violated mozilla policies.

Ive overridden it and turned it back on and its now auto filling passwords again.
you can overide it and turn it back on in extentions but why would it be risky? would be interesting to hear from any admins with an explanation.

hello. it is not a public secret that gen digital is known for fact it has no local tech support team at some countries. it could be possible explanation for why mozilla considers this behavior as unacceptable and thus denies functionality of this add-on at its products. it is maybe only my opinion but i can feel it that way

Its worked fine since password manager was introduced so i guess around 5-7 years and no issues what so ever here in the UK so my question was why now all of a sudden did it get blocked from yesterday.

Avast Passwords is unfortunately nearly abandoned product. If Mozilla strictens its policy (like disclosure one) and Avast Passwords didn’t follow it because it’s no longer updated, causes Mozilla to block it. Just my guess.
