How do I turn off Avast’s invasive ads
Settings → Notifications → Limited Mode
If you have Avast Premium (or Free) you can also dial down the noise in the Personal Privacy Settings.
Example of mine in Avast Antivirus Free,
Settings → Notifications → Limited Mode apparently does not work. I often (at least once a day) get a popup asking me if I want to re-subscribe to Avast Cleanup Premium. When I decline, it starts up anyhow and I have to get rid of it. That’s two strikes against Avast every day. If I want to re-subscribe, I will, and I know how to do that. Please, please just stop the popup.
The above posts are only one area that you need to look at, you didn’t address anything about the first image I posted..
Managing pop-up notifications in Avast Antivirus Premium
- https://support.avast.com/article/antivirus-popup-notifications/#pc
- Scroll down to Stop offers for other products.
- If you use Avast Premium Security (which you didn’t state), you can additionally stop seeing offers for other Avast products and Personalised Discounts. ** Avast UI > Menu > Settings > General > Notifications.
You could also uninstall Cleanup entirely.
Thanks – I’ve adjusted the options as you suggested. Still is irritating that I repeatedly clicked “No thanks” and still got the popups. The day is young. I’ll see if the popups stopped.
You really need to follow up on the images, especially the Offers (in notifications) and Personalised discounts )in Privacy Preferences). If they are still checked you will still get the offers
Given what has been said by
If you have it installed and it is either close to renewal or has expired you are going to get this regardless of your settings. So uninstall would be a first option.
So far we know very little about the avast program/s you are using this makes it harder to offer directed/related advice.
