On the Citi bank website every time I click on a page, I get a pop up demanding I use the Avast browser. I use Chrome in incognito mode. I have told Avast to stop reminding me at this web site, to no avail. (CitiBank security has apparently defeated the Avast detector.)
How do I make Avast stop demanding I use its browser?
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Not using Chrome or the Avast Secure Browser ASB). My default browser Firefox and I don’t get any popup notifications to use ASB.
And not knowing what you mean by CitiBank security has apparently defeated the Avast detector. Some banking sites actively block VPN connections (?).
You don’t say what Avast Detector you mean (web Shield, VPN) and are you getting error messages from the site, etc. ?
Now I don’t know if this Pop-up can be dealt with In the Avast Antivirus settings.
Avast - AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them, 'Show offers for other
Avast Products’ and ‘Show offers for 3rd party products’. Also check the AvastUI > Menu > Settings > Notifications - Limited Mode.
