Avast Premier blocking Outlook e-mail since update.

Greetings,

I have to disable my shields since the latest update else Outlook can’t reach my POP3 servers.

It has been working for years. I checked and Outlook is already in my Avast with its exceptions so I’m not sure what else to change.

Please advise.

So outlook emails get blocked even if you have Mail Shield disabled? And this is only for incoming emails? Which Avast version do you have (Menu> About)?

No, I have to disable the mail shield to allow e-mails through.

Do you notice this issue when using a VPN? If so, could you enable Mail Shield and disable the VPN and test it, please?

With or without the VPN the issue persists.

Can you please disable IPv6 and let me know if that helps?

{From the Start menu, select Control Panel > Open Network and Sharing Center >
On the left, select Change adapter settings > Right-click the connection for which you want to disable IPv6, and select Properties.
Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and click OK.}
