I’ve been trying to remove Avast Premium from my clients computer and no matter how I remove it, it keeps reinstalling itself after about 15 minutes when connected online. I’ve done it traditional way, used avastclear in safemode. I have unchecked self defense in the settings->troubleshooting. Uninstalled, safe boot uninstalled. Nothing seems to keep this from reinstalling.
Additional: This appears to be downloading an online install file into the Windows Temp folder. Then self extracting and installing. I have used autoruns & revo uninstaller as well. I can’t figure out why this keeps self downloading to this pc and installing in the backgroud. It’s not even linked to the account when it starts up in passive mode.
You may be using a Microsoft account and the computer is syncing.
